Tokai League Division 1
There was a truly sensational result in the main Tokai League Division 1 fixture of the weekend. Shizuoka FC had the chance to put clear distance between themselves at Yazaki Valente at the top of the table, but incredibly fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to bottom side Kasugai Club. This was Kasugai's first win of the year and pulls them back into contention of avoiding the drop. There was also a rearranged game between Fujieda City Hall and Honda Suzuka, the civil servants running up the biggest win in the division so far this year by scoring six without reply.

Tokai League Division 2
With no fixture for either Nagoya Club or Toyota Football Group over the weekend, their rivals for the second promotion spot from Division 2 of the Tokai League took full advantage. Konica Minolta Toyokawa may have kept going their unbeaten record at the top of the table with a comfortable 5-1 at Morishin's FC, but behind them now are Mind House Yokkiachi, 3-0 winners over the Shizuoka teachers' team, Fuyo Club - and MIE Rampole are third after they inflicted upon bottom team FC Kawasaki a second consecutive 5-0 home defeat.

Tokai League Division 1
Shizuoka FC remain at the top of the Tokai League Division 1 after the weekend's games, when they kept going their 100% record since the start of the season with a 1-0 win at Chukyo University. Two points behind and comfortable in second place are neighbours Yazaki Valente, 2-0 winners over another Shizuoka-based side, Fujieda City Hall. Nevertheless, it's still Fujieda who lie third and at the head of a bunch of clubs with comparable records for the year to date. Rooted to the foot of the table are still Kasugai Club, 2-1 losers to Maruyasu Industries, while Sagawa Kyubin Chukyo helped their battle against relegation by beating Honda Suzuka.

Tokai League Division 2
Division 2 of the Tokai League is shaping up to be one of the most interesting of the Regional Leagues this year. Leaders Konica Minolta Toyokawa lost for the first time in 2007 to newcomers MIE Rampole and are four points clear of the chasing pack, but there are as many as half a dozen teams in contention for the second automatic promotion spot. Nagoya Club thrashed relegation favourites FC Kawasaki and are second on goal difference from Mind House Yokkaichi, 1-0 winners at form team Toyota Football Group. Even Morishin's FC and Fuyo Club are not out of it, although their 2-2 draw helps neither of them to move up the table - or to avoid relegation.
