Kansai League Division 1
Banditonce Kobe have been confirmed as champions of the Kansai League, following on from the penultimate round of fixtures staged over the weekend. On Saturday, Banditonce scored a comfortable 4-2 win over relegation-threatened neighbours Kobe FC 1970 that put them five points ahead of sole challengers FC Mi-o Biwako Kusatsu. But FC Mi-o's 1-1 draw at home to FC Kyoto 1993 on Sunday means that next week's end-of-year clash between the top two is now no more than a formality.

Third place belongs to Osaka company team Ain Food after they drew with AS Laranja Kyoto. The only real issue still to be decided is the identity of the second team to be relegated to Division 2. FC Glaspo Kashiwara have long been for the drop, having picked up only two points all year, but the fact that they lost 4-0 at home to Sanyo Electric Sumoto means that is not known whether either Sanyo or Kobe FC will join them in the lower flight for 2008.
