Tohoku League Division 2 (South)
There can be no doubt whatsoever as to where the action was in Division 2 (South) of the Tohoku League on Sunday. Promotion hopefuls and local rivals FC Perada Fukushima and Viancone Fukushima clashed for the final time this year and after a draw right at the start of the season, it was clear before kick-off that a decisive result for either side would affect the title race in a potentially decisive manner. And visitors Viancone struck the vital blow by picking up a 2-1 win that sees them occupy second place now only on goal difference with a game in hand.

Continuing their excellent year in third are 2006 Fukushima Prefectural League winners Soma SC, 3-0 winners over poor old Kureha, who have yet to pick up a single point. In the other two fixtures of the round, Marysol Matsushima and Sendai neighbours Shichigahama SC both managed comfortable victories, against Nakaniida SC and Kanai Club respectively.
