Chugoku League
Confirmed Chugoku League champions Fagiano Okayama are on their way to winning every match of their regular league season. The Pheasants, who have recently put in their application for associate membership of the J-League itself, have only one fixture remaining after their 6-0 drubbing of Sagawa Kyubin Chugoku on Sunday, while rivals FC Central Chugoku were involved in qualifying for the later stages of the Emperor's Cup tournament. A club record 9252 watched the Fagiano match at Momotaro Stadium.

At the other end of the standings, Hitachi Manufacturing Kasado will definitely finish bottom ahead of the local play-off tournament following their 3-2 defeat at Hiroshima Fujita SC, although the expansion of the league to ten teams next season means that there is no relegation. Fellow Hiroshima prefecture sides JFE Steel Western Japan and Mazda SC shared the points in a 1-1 draw in the other match of the round.
