Kansai League Division 1
Grasping with both hands the opportunity presented to them by last week's shock loss by Banditonce Kobe, FC Mi-o Biwako Kusatsu have gone full steam ahead at the top of the Kansai League Division 1. The Shiga prefecture outfit thrashed Sanyo Electric Sumoto 8-1 to make it four wins out of four from the start of the season and a goal difference of +20 makes them difficult indeed for anyone to catch them.

Banditonce stay second, bouncing back to beat AS Laranja Kyoto 5-1, but they lead surprise package FC Kyoto 1993 only on goal difference. Kyoto, promoted back from Division 2 at the end of 2006, put four without reply past Kobe FC 1970 to keep up their outside hope of a top two finish. At the bottom of the division, FC Glaspo Kashiwara picked up their first point of the year in a 1-1 draw at mid-table Ain Food.
