Tohoku League Division 2 (South)
Division 2 (South) of the Tohoku League is likely to be a close-fought affair, with three competitive sides battling it out for promotion. FC Perada Fukushima have been taken under the wing of the ambitious Fukushima Junkers organisation and have already made an unsuccessful bid for associate membership of the J-League itself. But locally they face a stern test from Viancone Fukushima - formerly Northern Peaks Koriyama - and near Sendai, Marysol Matsushima are also experienced at this level.

Marysol have yet to play in 2007 and newly-promoted Soma FC from Fukushima are also waiting for their opening fixture. But on Sunday Perada put five past Shichigahama SC and Viancone went one better against the other promoted team, Nakaniida SC. In the third game of the day, Kanai Club emerged 4-2 winners over the division's whipping boys in recent years, company side Kureha.

Sun 29 Apr: Kureha 2-4 Kanai Club
Sun 29 Apr: Nakaniida SC 1-6 Viancone Fukushima
Sun 29 Apr: Shichigahama SC 1-5 FC Perada Fukushima
