JFL - Round 26 (Saturday)
The JFL roared back into action on Saturday with four fixtures and significant wins for two of the teams on the fringe of the title race - bad news indeed for challengers and J2 hopefuls Rosso Kumamoto, who slipped back to fourth place after Sagawa Kyubin Tokyo's 1-0 defeat of Alo's Hokuriku. Rosso need a top two finish to achieve their goal of promotion, but now lie just a point ahead of Sagawa Kyubin Osaka, although the latter did need to come from behind in gaining a narrow win over struggling Mitsubishi Mizushima. Down towards the bottom with Mizushima are FC Ryukyu, undoubtedly the disappointments of the year and today crushed 5-0 by Yokogawa Musashino, for whom Daiki Koyama and star striker Yosuke Kobayashi both picked up a brace. Elsewhere, JEF Club coasted past crisis club Arte Takasaki, who are drifting ever more perilously closer to the bottom of the division.
