JFL - Round 24
Just two JFL games on Saturday in a stripped-down programme over the weekend, but Arte Takasaki nevertheless caused a major shock in their match at Tochigi SC. The Gunma precture-based side, torn apart in recent weeks by the departure of no fewer than ten members of the first team squad, stunned their near neighbours by scoring two goals in the last six minutes for a 2-1 victory that not only moved Arte themselves three places up the table, but also finishes off once and for all Tochigi's already distant hopes of landing a top two finish.

In the second match, Mitsubishi Mizushima travelled to the Chugoku rivals SC Tottori desperately needing points in their battle to avoid a likely relegation play-off come the end of the season. But an early goal from Tottori forward Tetsuya Hori meant that they were always up against it and Hideki Uchiyama added two more in the last twenty minutes to confirm the defeat for Mitsubishi.
