Hokkaido League - Round 7
Title holders Norbritz Hokkaido bounced back from their defeat two weeks ago by Toyota Motors Hokkaido to gain a narrow 1-0 win over Thank FC and so retain their position at the top of the Hokkaido League table as the season reaches the halfway point. A somewhat surprising second place belongs to Sapporo Football Group,, who cruised past Toyota Motors Hokkaido with their biggest win of the year so far. But Blackpecker Hakodate, runners up last time around, must be disappointed to have lost three times already in 2006, their latest defeat coming courtesy of Barefoot Hokkaido. The bottom two sides in the division, Tokachi Fairsky and ACSC Asahikawa, gained a valuable point apiece in a goalless draw.
