Kyushu League - Round 11
More important action in the Kyushu League on Sunday, as title favourites V Varen Nagasaki took a major step towards winning the championship. Although they only managed a 1-0 win over rock bottom Nanakuma Tombies, New Wave Kitakyushu suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Okinawa Kariyushi - and the other main challengers, Nippon Steel Oita, lost on penalties after a draw with Osumi NIFS United. Also still in touch at the top are Volca Kagoshima after their 4-3 win over Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Nagasaki.
