Chugoku League
Very significant events in the Chugoku League title race to report from Sunday's fixtures, as challengers FC Central Chugoku fell to their first defeat of the season - 1-0 at emerging Renofa Yamaguchi - to hand the initiative to Fagiano Okayama. Fagiano put daylight between themselves and the other title hopefuls with a 3-2 win over 2005 championship winners Sagawa Kyubin Chugoku , although Sagawa and FC Central still have games in hand. Meanwhile, Hiroshima Fujita SC managed to avoid a fifth successive defeat but still lost on penalties to Hitachi Manufacturing Kasado to remain in serious danger of relegation, dropping below JFE Steel in the table as a result of the latter's 1-0 win over Iwami SC.
