Shikoku League - Round 5
Kamatamare Sanuki stole a potentially vital march in the race for this year's Shikoku League crown, when they defeated title holders Nangoku Kochi 1-0 on Sunday. Striker Eiji Natsuda grabbed the only goal in the sixteenth minutes to open up a five-point gap between the two teams in the current table. Ehime Shimanami are Kamatamare's closest challengers after they beat Sanyo Electric Tokushima 3-0. In the bottom half of the division, Alex SC and newcomers Tokushima Vortis Amateur both gained their first wins of the year, as Sanwa Club and Ventana AC look as if they will now find it hard to avoid the relegation play-offs.
