SC Tottori - The Next Steps To The J-League
An important stage to report in the development of J-League hopefuls SC Tottori, who have just announced the establishment of the independent management structure that is a pre-requisite of entry into the professional ranks. With one full-time executive, the club are aiming to work towards the point where they have a playing staff of about thirty, while although they plan to use the Tottori Bird stadium in the short-term, there is talk that the overall aim is to develop a new ground for the club.

New coach Kei Kinoshita has meanwhile been informed in no uncertain terms that his target is to achieve a place in J2 in 2008, i.e. presumably by winning the JFL in 2007. In the forthcoming season, however, Tottori have stated that they are aiming for a top five finish.
