Kanto League Division 2
Taking the lead in an exciting race for the Kanto League Division 2 title are Ryutsu Keizai University reserves side Club Dragons, 3-0 winners at pre-season favourites Furukawa Electrics Chiba, who are themselves experiencing rather a disappointing campaign. Dropping back to second place behind the Dragons are MSDF Atsugi Marcus following a draw at lowly Ome FC. But making a challenge for a promotion place with just three games to go are Hanno Bruder, who go third by beating Kanagawa Teachers. Nirasaki Astros are still last and running out of time if they want to avoid relegation to the distinctly unglamorous surroundings of the Yamanashi Prefectural League, although they did claim a point in a 2-2 draw at Yonoshukonkai.
