Chugoku League
There were three games played on holiday Thursday in the Chugoku League, with only Sagawa Kyubin Chugoku and current wooden spooners Hitachi Manufacturing Kasado not in action. FC Central Chugoku took the opportunity to move into second spot ahead of Sagawa with a 2-0 win over JFE Steel Western Japan in Fukuyama, but Fagiano Okayama remain in front on goal difference. The 2006 champions have yet to concede a goal after four matches and kept their 100% record going thanks to a 3-0 defeat of Hiroshima Fujita SC. The other match saw promoted side Mazda SC pick up their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Renofa Yamaguchi.

Kanto League Division 1
One fixture was staged in Division 1 of the Kanto League on Friday - and Hitachi Tochigi Uva, runners-up in Division 2 last season, moved to the top of the table ahead of FC Machida Zelvia on goal difference. Uva went behind to Saitama SC as early as the ninth minute, but fought back to claim a 3-1 win. Saitama remain in mid-table.
