J-League Associate Membership
The J-League have announced that Rosso Kumamoto have been joined in their associate member status by both Tochigi SC and Gainare Tottori. This means that if they meet the other relevant criteria and achieve a good enough on-the-pitch result this season - which now means a top-four finish in the JFL - they will be promoted to J2. FC Gifu's application is receiving further consideration but is likely to be approved before the end of this year, while that of Tohoku League side FC Perada Fukushima seems to have been rejected outright.
