Norbritz (Un)friendly Result
Hokkaido League title holders and Regional League Championship Winners' Play-off participants Norbritz Hokkaido suffered a major setback in their preparations for the Play-offs at the end of this month when they played a friendly on Saturday against near neighbours Consadole Sapporo. The match was played over three periods of 45 minutes and ended up as an 11-2 massacre of the non-leaguers - surely a hammer blow to their confidence ahead of vital clashes against Fagiano Okayama and group favourites Banditonce Kobe.

Regional League Transfer News
Kyushu League champions V Varen Nagasaki have left none of their rivals in any doubt of the extent of their ambition - and the depth of their pockets - ahead of the Regional League Championship Winners' Play-off, having announced no fewer than eight short-term loan signings which they hope will be enough to take the team up into the JFL. Three players join from Avispa Fukuoka: Kazuyuki Otsuka, 24, has played more than fifty games as a midfielder, Hideki Tsukamoto, a 33-year-old goalkeeper who signs as a player-coach and big 23-year-old forward Hiroki Hayashi has played six times in J1 this year and made his debut as long ago as 2002.

Tsuyoshi Kato is a 25-year-old defender from Ehime FC who hasn't featured in the Shikoku club's first team in the J-League this year but nevertheless has a couple of seasons of JFL experience. From Zweigen Kanazawa in the Hokushinetsu League comes 22-year-old former Sanfrecce Hiroshima midfielder Tatsuro Kimura, while striker Hidehito Shirao, 26, comes from Zweigen's rivals Matsumoto Yamaga Club. Asuka Tateishi is a 23-year-old defender who has spent the last couple of seasons on the fringes of the first team at Sagan Tosu and another 23-year-old, Rui Komatsu has also appeared in the first team as a striker for Cerezo Osaka.
