Shizuoka will regard the match only as good preparation for next weekend's Emperor's Cup clash against J2 side Mito Hollyhock, for it means nothing in the context of the league - FC Gifu are title winners, but rather allowed their season to peter out with a damp squib of a 1-1 draw at home to Sagawa Kyubin Chukyo.
