Tohoku League Division 2 (South)
Kanai Club recovered well on Sunday from their last two Tohoku League Division 2 (South) results - both 7-0 annihilations by leaders Furukawa Battery - to defeat FC Perada Fukushima 5-2 and consolidate their mid-table position comfotably clear of the relegation zone. Kureha Chemicals look as if they are headed for the play-off to remain in Regional football, as they have yet to take a point in eight matches this season after having conceded six to Shichigahama SC.

Tohoku League Division 1
There was important action at the bottom of the Tohoku League Division One over the weekend, with Sendai Nakata Club the big winners as they thrashed fellow strugglers Morioka Zebra to move sixth on goal difference. Bottom of the table and heading for a relegation play-off now are Nippon Steel Kamaishi, comfortably defeated by an improving NEC Tokin.
