Tochigi SC let slip a major opportunity to make up ground on the teams ahead of them at the top of the JFL on Saturday, when they conceded a last minute goal by JEF Club's Taro Kawano goal to finish the game at two apiece. The resulting single point means that Tochigi move ahead of Rosso Kumamoto, but the J-League hopefuls know they could have been lying in second place before Sunday's games. Yokogawa Musashino managed a useful 3-2 win at Ryutsu Keizai University and now lie level on points with Rosso, although they needed a late Yosuke Kobayashi goal to see off the bottom-placed side. It's beginning to look as if the teams who will end up filling the bottom two relegation play-off spots will come from RKU, Honda Lock, Mitsubishi Mizushima and FC Ryukyu after FC Kariya pulled themselves a further point away from the danger zone thanks to a 1-1 draw at home to Arte Takasaki.
