7th Eastern Japan Football Tournament
第7回東日本社会人大会

The details have been released of the 7th Eastern Japan Football Tournament, which will be played in Fukui prefecture over a long weekend of 15 - 17 July. Regular readers of JNFN may recall that the Western equivalent was held in Kumamoto pre-season and was won by FC Ryukyu. The format of the Western competition is such that the eight competitors are made up of the previous season's top two teams from the leagues in Kyushu, Shikoku, Chugoku and Kansai - but this is not replicated in the East, where the representation is as follows:

Hokkaido: Norbritz Hokkaido (2005 champions)
Tohoku: TDK Akita (2005 joint champions)
Hokushinetsu: Ishikawa Prefectural XI
Kanto: Gunma Prefectural XI
Tokai: Shizuoka FC (2005 champions)
Invitation: Fukui Prefectural XI

Results will of course be posted on these pages as they become available.
