Konica Minolta Toyokawa are maintaining their somewhat surprise early lead in Division 2 of the Tokai League, a 1-0 win on Sunday over FC Kawasaki keeping them ahead on goal difference of Honda Suzuka, who were relegated at the end of last season from Division 1. Morishin's FC gained their first ever win at Regional level against Fuyo Club, who seem to have collapsed after missing out on promotion in 2005. Mind House TC have also failed to build on a promising year and went down to Nagoya Club.

Honda Suzuka’s 1-0 win over Kasugai Club

Tokai League Division 1 title holders Shizuoka FC seem determined to hold on to their crown despite the new challenge of FC Gifu - and a 7-1 crushing on Saturday of ACM Central kept them top of the league on goal difference from their rivals, who managed a single-goal victory at Yazaki Valente. Fujieda City Hall remain rock bottom after their third defeat of the season, while Maruyasu Industry were held for the first time in a goalless draw at Chukyo University.
