The busy JFL close season shows no signs whatsoever of quietening down, as clubs compete in the transfer market to bolster their squads ahead of the 2006 season. Recent deals include the move of 25-year-old striker Yutaka Takahashi - previously at Sanfrecce Hiroshima and Omiya Ardija - to Rosso Kumamoto from JEF United, while Kazushi Isoyama, a 31-year-old forward with J-League experience at Omiya Ardija and Consadole Sapporo, has gone from Mito Hollyhock to Arte Takasaki.

Elsewhere, Sagawa Kyubin Osaka have snapped up Yuusaku Tanioku, a 27-year-old defender most recently with Tokushima Vortis but with several seasons' J-League experience at Ventforet Kofu. Tokushima have also sold former FC Tokyo, Vegalta Sendai and Kashiwa Reysol defender Takayuki Komine to ambitious Tokai League side FC Gifu.
