It's been reported by the J-League that they will hold a special meeting on 5th December - the day after the current JFL season finishes - to confirm or otherwise the promotion of Ehime FC to J2. The key remaining issue to be resolved is that of the Shikoku-based club's final league position, which the J-League have advised needs to be in the top two if they are to move up.In the meantime, in support of the club's campaign to be allowed a J2 place, a petition signed by no fewer than 217,780 local people has been delivered from their home twon of Matsuyama to the J-League's HQ in Tokyo.
